On October 21, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation) named and delivered the fourth vessel in its series of 85,000dwt multi-purpose pulp carriers, the “CSPC JUPITER,” built for CITIC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. On October 22, the eighth vessel in its series of 37,000-ton Great Lakes-type cargo ships, the “POLSTEAM WELTYN,” built for Poland's PZM, was named and delivered.
CSPC JUPITER
The CSPC JUPITER boasts outstanding comprehensive performance, featuring high pulp transport specialization, broad cargo adaptability, excellent economy, superior environmental friendliness, and advanced intelligence. It meets the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase III requirements while achieving carbon emissions 50% below baseline. It can accommodate diverse cargoes including high-speed trains, wind power equipment, new energy vehicles, large machinery, and oversized steel pipe pile structures. Enhanced safety features include a dedicated thermal imaging monitoring system and early warning system, ensuring secure transport for pulp, new energy vehicles, and various cargoes. The vessel achieved industry-leading standards in construction precision and system complexity, with all critical systems and areas completed to high quality as scheduled, earning high praise from the shipowner.
POLSTEAM WELTYN
The POLSTEAM WELTYN boasts excellent maneuverability and trim control capabilities, facilitating navigation on large lakes. Its maneuverability, economic performance, and energy-saving eco-friendly capabilities surpass those of comparable vessels, showcasing distinct “green, eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and safe” attributes that enhance its market competitiveness. The ship achieved multiple breakthroughs during its dry dock construction phase, setting new records for integrity upon launch. Cabling in the living quarters reached optimal standards, while the mooring system achieved first-time installation and welding of chain stoppers alongside brake force certification. |
