On May 29th, No.1 7100TEU container vessel built for AL GROUP was named and delivered by DSIC.
Friedrich Bunnemann, managing director of AL GROUP, Lin Jiming and He Xu, leaders of DSIC, and directors of relevant units of DSIC attended the ceremony. Ms. Vasilija Zdunic named the vessel"ALS CERES".
The vessel is the first of six 7100TEU container vessels for AL Maritime Holding Company undertaken by DSIC. This series of ship is 255 meters long, 42.8 meters wide and 24.6 meters deep and can carry more than 7100 standard containers. It has good port suitability and seaworthiness, and the application range is flexible. With excellent speed index and obvious energy saving effect, it meets the requirements of IMO Tier III emission standard and EEDI Stage III standard, and has both ABS "Ammonia fuel Ready level 1C" and "Methanol Fuel Ready Level 1C" symbols". It is a new generation of medium-sized container vessel which combines "green, environmental protection, energy saving and safety" and will be chartered to CMA CGM for operation and management after delivery.
During the underwater mooring stage, the project team and No.2 Department of Slipway Erection carefully planned and completed all piping inspections before the engine room was painted, and gradually promoted all the equipment function tests. The passing rate of cargo tank testing and hatch cover installation inspection was as high as 98%. Before the sea trial, the shipyard, shipowner and ship inspection jointly set the target to ensure the integrity of each area and the smooth conduct of the trial. The smooth delivery of the ship has laid a solid foundation for the construction of the series of ships, and also made greater contributions to the high-quality development of DSIC. |
