On September 30, the 115,000dwt Aframax product tanker “KARPATHOS” was delivered to Greek Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd. by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. of China State Shipbuilding Corporation 123 days ahead of the contract schedule.
Double-crane continuous hoisting the entire block of the living area achieved on board for the first time, with lighting completed in living quarter before hoisting, all interior work on non-enclosed decks finished, and painting of enclosed decks completed during the dock phase, significantly enhancing the integrity of the living quarters. Sea trials commenced 24 days ahead of the annual plan, with underwater and critical cycles substantially shortened compared to previous vessels. |
