Delivery and Steel Cutting in DSIC Tianjin
On January 9, the first LNG fueled 16,000TEU container ship in North China built by CSBC Tianjin in conjunction with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. for Minsheng Financial Leasing was named and delivered 172 days ahead of the contract period.
The vessel is characterized by low comprehensive energy consumption, wide compatibility of cabin types, strong cargo carrying capacity and good route matching, etc. It adopts new design concepts and installs energy-saving deflector covers, twisted rudders, bubble drag reduction system and other equipments, which can significantly reduce sailing resistance, increase the vessel's navigation speed and reduce the fuel energy consumption. Adopting WinGD dual-fuel main engine equipped with iCER system and main genset equipped with LPSCR system, the vessel can effectively deal with nitrogen oxide emission and meet the Tier III emission standard of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), making it a green, energy-saving and highly efficient large-scale container ship.
During the shipbuilding, the project team and the ship owner, ship inspection closely follow the production schedule, 48 hours ahead of the original plan to successfully complete the LNG refueling operations, innovative use of double-vehicle lifting method, the successful completion of 13,000 cubic meters of B-type LNG bunker on board the installation of the work for the construction of subsequent liquefied tanks provide strong support for the construction of the ship.

The ship has overall length of 249.8 meters, beam of 44 meters, depth of 21.2 meters,design draught of 13.75 meters, structural draught of 15.25 meters, design speed of 14.5 knots, and a cargo tank with capacity of more than 800,000 barrels of crude oil products. The main engine and generator meet the Tier Ⅲ emission standard of the International Maritime Organization, and the maneuvering performance, economic performance, energy-saving and green environmental protection performance are all better than those of the same type of ships, with strong market competitiveness.
Sea Trial and Steel Cutting in DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Limited (SHGSIC)
On January 10th, SHGSIC started sea trial for No.9 65,000dwt bulk carrier 5 days ahead of the line schedule. Before the sea trial, all the functional commissioning and inspection projects were finished, and it took only 4 days to complete the installation of all the intelligent ship equipments, which provided a solid guarantee for the sea trial on schedule.
On the same day, steel cutting for No.56 115,000dwt product oil tanker and No.8 115,000dwt crude oil tanker were started.
No.8 65,000dwt bulk carrier trial voyage triumph on January 6, the trial voyage integrity reached the highest score of the series of ships. The speed, fuel consumption, noise and other performance indicators of the ship fully met the requirements of the technical specifications.
